This is an absolute must! The most important thing in brewing is having your equipment sanitized. If your equipment isn’t perfectly clean you could give your beer an off-flavor or skunkiness which could make it undrinkable. Bacteria, fungi and microorganisms can start growing in tiny areas that can lead to bad beer.
There are different types of cleaners and sanitizers out there but none are as good as this one. It is very high foaming and that’s a good thing because it can get into the nooks and crannies of your equipment. You literally don’t have to rinse your equipment after using this product even if there is foam residue. It will have no impact on the flavor of your beer.
Use this on everything that will come into contact with your beer – a stirring spoon, pots, kettles, fermenters, beer bottles, etc. I even sanitize the plate I set my stirring spoon on. It’s a good idea to get a squirt bottle to apply this as your sanitizing everything, it’s just another way of applying it to certain items. A little bit of this goes a long way – 1oz works in 5 gallons of water.
